A quick look at an NC beach map shows just how accessible Wrightsville is. In fact, it's the only North Carolina beach community with an Interstate leading to its doorstep. Directions to this fine NC beach map easily from points North, South and West.
From the North, take I-85 or I-95 South and pick up Interstate 40 East. I-40 leads straight into Wilmington where it will become NC 132 South. After about 2 miles, follow signs for Wrightsville Beach and US 74 East. Stay on this road (Eastwood Road) for approximately 3 miles. You'll merge with US 76 before going over the drawbridge into Wrightsville Beach.
Most travelers from the West will also take I-40 East and follow the directions given above. Some will prefer to take US 74/US 76 East. US 76 will take you right onto the island.
From the South, depending on where you are, you’ll either want to take I-85 North to US 74 East, or you can drive North on US 17. As you approach Wilmington, follow signs for US 76 East, which will end on Wrightsville Beach. Or just hop a flight into Wilmington's international airport and you're only a few short minutes from Wrightsville's shores. Happy travels!
